This picture was taken in July 1963 and was the home of my grandparents
from the thirties untill
1967. The farm was called Milbrook. On sheet 33 of the one inch to the mile Ordnance
Survey map,
it's national grid reference is M 868 952 and is just south of the village of Croghan Co
Roscommon
Sadly it was pulled down in the late sixties. My grandfather
died in 1966 and soon after this my
grandmother sold up and moved to Bangor in Northern Ireland.
My aunt still lives in Bangor.
There was a mill on this site from the mid 1800's this house was extended by my
grandfather in
the early thirties soon after he moved in from Clover Hill which is also near Croghan.
